The Forgotten: 4’ 47”, 2011
In this still image animation " The Forgotten", I am revisiting events and happenings of my early years in Iran, only to discover the changes in me have changed the very nature of the events.
That distant intangible memory becomes palpable on the page, constructing and deconstructing itself through line and form, guiding the next step.
Within a culture that stands still, yet remains as graceful and magnificent as its temples and pillars, I search for answers to my self-discovery.
My animations are just a glimpse of that journey.
